Lukas Diehl is heading up the Marketplace Banking, one of two business units at Varengold Bank AG. Varengold Bank is a German financial institution founded in 1995 with its head office in Hamburg and a branch in Sofia. Since 2017, the Marketplace Banking team is offering debt facilities to European fintechs / startups in the form of private securitization or asset-backed lending transactions. Lukas and his team also provide its customers with Fronting Services for credit products subject to banking license requirements (Banking-as-a-Service). Lukas joined Varengold back in 2003, where he was also responsible for Treasury and Portfolio Management in the past.
